WOYWW Wk 304

It's a few weeks since I popped over to the Julia's Stamping Ground to join in with What's On Your Workdesk but I really couldn't miss out on the fun on the first day of April ... bringing spring flowers, and showers, of course, and, it would seem too, my joie de vivre. I hope you are all feeling just as cheerful :)
So what is on my desk? A scrap layout in the making. What you can see is the photographs (of my beloved EM), patterned papers, cardstock and bits and bobs I think I might use for this page. Tucked underneath all that stuff is the sketch I'm working from ... there's a sketch for a card too that should help me use up any leftovers! In the background is a muddle of inks, gentle blends, card candy, the huge pile of photographs I had to riffle through to find the photos of himself. Next to that is a little ramekin dish borrowed from the kitchen - I'll appropriate anything from around the house to use for crafty purposes! ... it's filled with various tiny dies and rolls of washi tape, and on the right a pile of scrap ephemera - for example, journaling cards, tiny vellum envelopes, embellishments, etc., ... really far too many!

That's my desk this morning. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Happy WOYWW,

  1. You're going to need the souffle dish next..that ramekin won't hold all the bits and bobs. Must say what super pictures that is. And I love tha tyou already have a sketch poised for a 'leftovers' card!

  2. If I run out of stock in the kitchen like the greeseproof paper, foil, paper towel, bi card soda, vinegar gosh the list goes on I head for the art room bound to have some there. LOL It is amazing what things we have in our kitchen that can be used in our crafts. I like the look of your layout it is good to work from a sketch sometimes but I always seem to wander and never stick to it. Don't forget to share when you are finished. I hope you have a wonderful Easter.

  6. Julia's comment about the soufflé dish made me smile!! I've got an old cake tin full of dried lavender that I saved from a neighbour's front garden (with permission, I didn't go scrumping!!!). I'll make some lavender bags soon.
What a great pic and LO about the EM..you can feel the love from here :-)

  7. LOL! I have so much kitchenware in my craft space it's shameful. Love the layout. It's just such a worthwhile process isn't it? And unlike cardmaking you get to keep it :)

  8. I think we all borrow things from our kitchen (and other areas) just as much as we swell out into those areas with our artwork.
Currently I am in the utility room for crafting (my craftroom needs a good tidy up) and even have stash hidden away in the lounge and hallway. Naughty, but that is me.
    Enjoy your EM page creating.
