CHNC Challenge 185 - the five minute glam card

Evening Everyone

Hope this finds you fine, especially those of you in the south of the country who have been suffering the lightening storms - I hope you've escaped the damage that's been reported on the news today. We expected rain around 2pm this afternoon but so far it's stayed dry and very warm. I even had to get out and water the garden ... that felt silly but after yesterday's sunshine and lack of rain everything was starting to look parched.

We weren't around yesterday ... spent a lovely day with friends instead ... so have been catching up, that is as much as is humanly possible, with what has been going on in blogland today. So, with so little time, and keen to join in with Hazel's CHNC Challenge 185 this week, I took a few minutes out to make this super quick card.
The topper is another recycled Christmas card from last year. It already had lots of glitter on it but I've added a touch of gold and red glitter for a bit more of that glam Hazel is looking for. To make the card I simply trimmed the topper down, attached the very last snippet of that red satin ribbon, printed with gold trees, to the top left corner and added a gold glitter star.
Not easy to photograph but I'm hoping you can spot Rudolph's red nose - Xmas Red Stickles - and that you can see how glittery the star is.

And it really was as quick as that!

Other challenges I'm submitting the card to:

Hazel's other challenge - CHNC challenge extra for July mid-month

and Di's challenge, of course, Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 133 - the ribbon was just a snippet

Hoping to spend more time crafting tomorrow, probably to a soundtrack of thunder and lightening so may be offline for a time ... I switch everything off during a storm.

Take care and happy crafting,

Materials used: a square Kraft card base; the recycled topper; red/gold printed satin ribbon; Studio Calico glittered star; Xmas Red Stickles
