Two Floral Cards - Sunday Snippet Makes

Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are all having an enjoyable Sunday and even taking it easy :)

I have a couple of cards for Di over at Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground - Week 71.

Although these two cards were, in fact, made quite a few weeks ago, what with one thing and another I didn't get around to sharing them here. I've used just a couple of snippets of gold card and the front of one of the beautiful cards I received for one of my, oh so many, birthdays!

As you can see the floral and butterfly illustration was just too pretty to be consigned to a drawer and be forgotten! I split it in half and created two very simple cards, one landscape and the other portrait.

Materials used:

  • two white A6 card bases
  • gold mirri card cut to size and a scalloped edge punch (for the landscape version)
  • two greeting stamps from goodness knows where ... I have a few useful stamps that are conveniently out on the desktop all the time ... VersaMark and Heat-It-Up gold embossing powder
I've had a very lazy day today and not much has been done on the crafting front. There's an unfinished scrap page I'm guilt-tripping over and I've a head buzzing with ideas but somehow it's not transferring from brain to project. I think it is true to say we all have days like this and I've decided not to fight it but just go with the flow ... there's always tomorrow :)

Let's see what tomorrow brings :)

Happy crafting,

  9. Brilliant Elizabeth! I love both cards and how clever to get two from the one - that's what I call upcycling!

Err, spotted Mrs A's comments about nibbles and a flask round the back of the shed. Sigh :(

Hope you're having a great Bank Holiday!

    Hugs, Di xx
