Miracles - another inky background card

Morning Everyone,

Just a quick post this morning and I'll tell you why.

Yesterday I was MIA because I decided I wanted my workdesk (Desk No. 1 in the previous post) relocated, under the window and in front of the radiator (to keep my tootsies warm). Of course, the resident Handyman, aka the EM, was only too happy to oblige me by moving furniture around the craft space.

Well, didn't that just create a domino effect - to move one item, another has to be moved to make way for another, and so on, and so on - now I have a major sort out job on my hands! No time for regret though - must just bite the bullet, don the hardhat ... I'm going in  :)

But before I fly, I'll share this little card with you.

Another card made with a background created similarly to the Butterfly Meadow card you can see in this earlier post.  However, this background was made using five colours of ink instead of just three.

I've introduced a touch of peach and lilac to this background and I think the photo doesn't do it justice - it's better seen in real life. The flowers, grasses, birds and sentiment were stamped on top of the background in black ink.

Materials used:
Kanban white card base
Docrafts Papermania white cardstock
Snippet of black cardstock for matting
Inks: Tim Holtz DIs - Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw, Stormy Sky, Shaded Lilac - Adirondack Lights Peach Bellini, Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps - Kanban Crafts Spring Meadow and the Miracles sentiment is from a LOTV rubber stamp set - Inspirational Sentiments

Using a snippet of black card to mat the topper means that I can nip over to Di's playground, Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground - Week 62, on my way to the battleground that's my craft room.

Right, I'm really going in now - if you don't see me soon, perhaps you could send in a search party!!!

Happy Crafting,

  9. Absolutely beautiful - such soft colours too.

Am posting you a long length of rope to tie round your ankle and trail behind you when you go into craft room battle - just tie the other end to the door handle and the EM can pull you out :)

Have a lovely weekend - and thanks for coming to play!

    Hugs, Di xx
