CHNC Challenge #106

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all had a good day, especially those of you who returned to work today after a super long break.

Here it's been pouring with rain all day and that has made it a dark and miserable one - so dark we've had to have the lights on for all of it! Reminded me of the days I worked in an office which was dark and dismal even though there was a window ... trouble was the aspect was that of a wall of the building!!! No light could penetrate that.

I have another Christmas card to share with you. I can almost hear you groaning, not another one :) However it is one that was made but not blogged here and as Hazel's challenge, over on CHNC #106 - Santa's gone into hiding, is specifically looking for a card that does not feature Santa, I thought this one fits the bill perfectly.

Once again, I used some of my handmade paper, this time matted onto green card to create a panel for the white embossed card base. The poinsettia and the greeting tag are cut from Spellbinders dies.

Both the inside and back are stamped with my favourite Holly Bough stamp in Festive Berries DI.

Materials: white dot embossed card blank; green card for matting and leaves; piece of the handmade card; red card for poinsettia petals, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia and Nestabilities Splendid Circles; Tim Holtz DI, Festive Berries; topaz gem swirl; greeting from Holly Hobbie Christmas Joy set.

Hope you like.

Have a wonderful evening everyone.

Take care and happy crafting,

  5. I can vouch that this card is even more beautiful in real life :) A very good reason for me to get cracking on making an album for card storage!

Funny, it was 'lights on' all day here yesterday too Elizabeth - and looks like it could be the same again today as well, sigh :(

    Hugs, Di xx

  6. Gorgeous card, Elizabeth - I love that poinsettia and I also love the way you've carried stamping over on to the inside of the card http://silverscrappers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/chnc-challenge-106.html
