A Floral Card - using up leftover bits and pieces

Well, it's still morning here, just!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend - restful if that's what you wanted, exciting if that's your thing - whatever, I hope you were with the folk you love while you were doing it :)

I made this card a wee while ago but didn't find the time to post it then. After sorting through a ton of bits and pieces, putting leftover bits of card through the Cuttlebug, etc., I challenged myself to make a card out of some of it and this is the result.

The base card is a pre-embossed one, Docrafts, I think, from a pack bought more than a year ago - I used one and then put what was left in a drawer where they have lain forgotten until now. The strip of pink embossed coredinations, I rubbed over with TH's Vintage Photo DI and cut a pennant shape at one end, layered it on to a strip of bronze pearlescent card - edge punched with one of my two Martha Stewart punches. The origin of the fussy cut stamped flower spray is lost in the annuls of time. There's a die cut circle, Spellbinder's Splendid Circles, and a leaf (Layered Poinsettia) in Kraft, edged with Vintage Photo. The finishing touch is some silk flowers snipped of a spray - it was a reduced bargain from a garden centre.

And if you are wondering why I usually show my cards photographed side on, rather than face on, here's why?

It really is a perfectly straight card ... it's the photographer's fault!!! I do try not to drop down to the right when I squeeze the button ...

That's it today. Short and sweet because, although the painting is done, the room now has to be set to rights. The curtains have to be put up, the furniture polished, the glassware cleaned before going back in the china cabinet, etc, etc. I could be some time :)
