WOYWW - Week 127 - candy, scavenging at the car boot sale and a challenge win

Good Morning All,

Wednesday again -  and Julia's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday reveal has sneaked up on me as usual - check out her blog Stamping Ground to join in the fun and visit countless workdesks around the world.

Here's my desk today and it is in a guddle  - a pile of completed cards at the back, print-outs for the next card in the alphabet series at the front, the box that holds my kit that I take along to the craft class on Mondays, the box that stores stamped images that have been coloured in and last, but not least, the candy win from Jude of Crafts International last week - still not found time to put it away.

The postman delivered it yesterday morning so this was what was on my desk a couple of minutes later - love it all - thank you, Jude, I'm going to enjoy making good use of everything. And you can see the lovely little note-card Jude popped in with it - I don't know where she finds the time and the energy to do what she does!

And this is what was on my desk on Sunday.

Inspired by the inspiring and inspired Neil Walker of Neelz Expressonz I took myself off on a scavenge on Sunday. There's a large car boot sale on at the racecourse here in town almost every Sunday - the exception, of course, is when there is an actual race meeting going on -  so armed with Neil's list I went scavenging. Progress report to Neil: There's 10 items on the list: a flower, a heart, a small book, a box, a figure, an old bottle, a little frame, some keys, a tiny spoon and some fun! And it was fun - even my DH joined in and some of the stall-holders got involved when told what I was up to :)   I failed miserably to find any keys and my old bottle isn't really that old but it is covered with dust - probably been in somebody's attic unloved and unwanted for a couple of years. I particularly like the little owl I found and the wooden box has potential, as do all those blingy hearts. You can see Neil's post and the photo of his findings here.

Looking back I've had a great week - lots of icing on the cake  - and yet more exciting news. Over at Scrap Our Stash Challenge , a challenge blog dedicated to challenging and inspiring us to use our stash,  I've been chosen as a winner for the October challenge. And, what's more, as a winner I've been offered a spot on the December Guest Design Team. I need hardly say I'm chuffed as this is the first time I've had such an invitation :)

Right, after all that I'm off to the gym - yes, I'm sticking with the work-outs. I'm fitter, that's true, but the exercising has not done anything to stop the frequent painful spasms I get in my legs and feet. Investigations continue. I'll be back in a couple of hours, with a cuppa to hand, and ready to visit as many of you as I can today.

In the meantime, I hope you are all well and happily crafting away.

  22. Hi there. Fabulous cards you have made there - I was wondering how you would do Q but done it you have and very well.
Lots of goodies on your desk this week too.
Sorry to hear yu haven't got rid of your pains. I bought a wii at the end of August and I have found the Yoga on there every day to have worked wonders with my knees, both the one operated on and the one that I was going to have to have operated on. Worth a try. Yoga is not hard on your joints so you build muscle up without the jolting and jarring of hard exercising. I have even managed to lose 11lbs in the bargain too!!
    Have a good week.

  27. How awesome was that win from Jude. She is one generous gal. I did a scavenger hunt once at garage sales and I couldn't find any old keys, either. Seems they are all taken or kept and people don;t get rid of them. Happy belated WOYWW from #4.
