Keeping up the my tradition of completing my weekly Christmas card at the last minute here is this week's offering. Even later than usual because I've been gadding about a lot and haven't had a great deal of time to actually craft : (
For this card I used a beautiful Bearly Mine Design Insert Paper for both the topper and the inside. I decoupaged the labels, added a pretty toning bow, tiny pearl trim, a silver metal snowflake, some turquoise gems and gold glitter. Couldn't have been easier and quicker - the cutting out of the label motif four times took the longest. The greeting stamp is one I've used several times from a Docrafts freebie, stamped in Versamark and embossed in gold.
I've forgotten where I got the sentiment - I found it in one of the many notebooks I've kept over the years - but I rather like it so used it here because for Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Card Challenge the requirement this week was for the sentiment to be the main feature.
So I hope to submit this card for the challenge on http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ - whoops, just made it in time :)
I'm also submitting the card to Snoflakes Christmas Card on Docrafts.
Materials used:
- Cardstock: Stampin' Up Baja Breeze for base card, white card for topper.
- Design Paper: Bearly Mine Design, digital Christmas Insert #06 .
- Stamp: Docrafts Merry Christmas free with Creativity Magazine 2010
- Other materials: Versamark; gold embossing powder, white/turquoise heart ribbon; pearl trim; metal snowflake; turquoise gems; gold glitter
If the weather is fine tomorrow the EM wants to take me for a spin in the car to Portpatrick, Galloway. If it's not fine I'll be up here sorting out my haul from the SECC and playing with my new toys :)
I wish you all a great weekend and happy crafting.
This is so beautiful, Elizabeth - and, yes, you scraped in just in time - in fact, I'd just come to my computer to check whether there were any more before it closes and there you were! Thank you for joining in CHNC challenge 9 - challenge 10 will be up in the morning - and there's a prize - hope you can join in. x
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, Your card is gorgeous. I love the paper you have used and that little metal snowflake is super! I like the idea of little labels offsetting the large sentiment. I might have to CASE that :) Thanks for your kind comments on mine. Regards, Jaqi
