WOYWW Week 888/108

Hello Everyone

It's been a while! I won't bore you with the reasons why I've been missing except to say I've gone through a difficult period health-wise which affected my ability to concentrate on the fun things in life. However, I'm doing much better now and feeling more my old self again. In fact, the last month or so has seen me starting to get back into scrapbooking, reading and even a little light gardening!

So, after all the months of neglect, it's great to be able to show you my busy desk covered with evidence of scrapbooking in progress. There's several completed layouts, a pile of paper scraps and some photographs that I plan to use on the next layout.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you will already have seen that I have been taking an online course, Shimelle Laine's Clear the Desk Live. I hoped it would get me scrapping again and it well and truly has! I won't post all twenty pages made so far,but here's just one because the subject is very dear to my heart.

Love this photo of Alan when he was indeed the family handyman. Here he was showing me the herb rack he made for our daughter, Juli. He also made one for our kitchen which is still in use today.

I'm keeping it short this week as it's the first time back in a long time, but I will leave you with a photo of my beloved cat Silver.
She's proudly posing in front of the painting made for her by my granddaughter Shari.

To see more creative workdesks pop over to Sarah's blog, Sarah's Craft Shed. If you don't already do so, feel free to join in the fun and show us what's on your workdesk this Wednesday. You'll be made most welcome.

Have a great WOYWW day and a fabulous week everyone,

Take care everyone,
Elizabeth

    1. How Annie, I'm so glad to be back and joining in. I aim to take it easy and not try to post too much but WOYWW has always been close to my heart so a good place to begin again. Glad you have enjoyed my LOs - I'm so glad to be making them again. I thought that it was all finished for me for a while there. Silver is, as ever, my wee pal. Hugs, Ellie xx

  3. I was so happy when I saw your name on the list this morning! I’m sorry you’ve had a difficult few months with your health and am glad that you’re feeling better now. I have enjoyed seeing your LOs on FB, you have such a knack for enhancing a photo so well - that’s a fab pic of Alan, he really was so good with his hands wasn’t he? Silver is looking very regal posing in front of of her painting (which is very good btw!), it’s like she’s saying “Who’s Queen?” Lol!!
I’ve had cataracts for a while but my left eye has got much worse quite quickly and there’s on in my right eye too so I’m getting them both done at the same time, I’m looking forward to not having to bother with contact lenses!
    Hugs LLJ 4 xx

    1. Hi Jan, many thanks for your kind comment. You don't want to hear the gory details regarding my health woes but I'm so glad to be back posting on WOYWW again. I aim to take it easy and just concentrate on posting only on Wednesdays for now and maybe forever. I've been led, rightly or wrongly, that the cataracts when removed are replaced with permanent contact lenses, which sounds like the ideal solution for someone like me who used to wear contacts but had to give them up some time ago. I hate having to wear glasses instead. Oh, Silver is definitely the Queen in this household. :) Hugs, xx

  9. Sorry you have not been well and very glad you are feeling better. We moved caravan sites not houses! I think I would be laid up in bed if we had moved houses! My fault for not being more precise. Hugs Angela #13

    1. Hi Angela, thanks for your kind comment. I'm chuckling at how I got the move wrong but relieved too. So much easier moving caravan sites than moving house. xx

  10. So glad to see you back here, I’m sorry you’ve been so poorly. I’d love to see all the layouts 😃, but I will find you on FB hopefully. I can see how proud Alan was of his herb rack, it’s such a lovely thing to scrapbook those memories. Always lovely to see beautiful Silver too 😍xxx

  14. Great to see you, Elizabeth! Good to hear you are doing much better. Health issues are no fun. Great scrapbook layout! Love the floral paper.
Regarding your 'smaller' project comment, you might look into Listing With Layle. Traveler's Notebook size project with a 2-page layout. Her prompts are great to get you going. I'm hoping to get back to the group in the next month.
